The Sisters Club

The Sisters Club is a collective force; the African Rural Interventions initiative is championing remote and disadvantaged communities. The project is centred around education ( reading clubs and mentorship) and is dedicated to empowering young women and girls to challenge societal norms and lead transformative change.  The framework is intersectional and guided by the principles of feminism. It takes cognisance of contextual and cultural nuances to offer our vision, purpose, and commitment to shaping a more equitable future.

Our Manifesto

  1. We champion education that not only informs but also liberates. By encouraging reading culture ( book clubs, literary debates, essays, and writings) that challenges patriarchy and fosters critical thinking, we equip young women with tools to redefine societal narratives and lead with confidence.
  2. We envision a world where leadership is not bound by gender or privilege. Through mentorship, skill-building, and advocacy, we amplify the voices of young women, ensuring they are at the forefront of decision-making spaces.
  3. We believe that access to technology, resources, and opportunities is a right, not a privilege. We are committed to closing the digital and resource gap, enabling young women to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
  4. Our interventions recognize and address the interconnectedness of race, class, gender, and other identities. We stand for inclusivity, ensuring that no one is left behind in the fight for equality.
  5. We believe in the power of collective action. By building networks of support, we strengthen our resolve to advocate for systemic change, empowering young women to be agents of transformation in their communities and beyond.
